Description
The benchmark brie, Brie de
Meaux, originated from the
village of Meaux, south-east
of Paris. To carry the name
Brie de Meaux the cheese
must be made from raw
milk, and in Australia we
are only able to buy the
pasteurised version.
This is the pasteurized version
of Brie de Meaux. Lightly
pungent, it has intensely
mushroomy, grassy notes.
This creamy brie has soft
yeast and hazelnut notes.
The centre of the cheese
is rich and creamy with a
smooth, supple texture
